All in a day… (as hubby lives and breathes cycling)

Cuddle time stops at 5:00am as Hubby promptly vacates the bed to tend to his other true love…..the bike.

Hubby conveniently returns once he felt fueled and pumped up with “cycling rush”, as he truly believes he will not survive a day without a hit of few hours cycling.

Once he has stripped himself of his figure-hugging kit and created yet another pile of lycra to wash, he is showered, dressed and off to work, sometimes planting a quick kiss on my cheek, and casting one last longing glance at his bike as he rushes out the door.

Upon his return from work, I wonder what will be tucked under his arm when he walks through the door…….. a parcel, bike gears, a wheel, perhaps a cycling magazine. Yet another thing to add to our house, which resembles a cross between a cycling shop and bike museum, rather than a humble home.

Before dinner time, you’ll find him sitting in front of the computer checking on his cycling e-groups, watching cycling videos and googling all the other cycling related websites.

And since the season of Tour de France kicked in, he’d manage to watch the action from a live video streaming on the web before retreating to bed.

Bike to start the morning, bike to end the evening.

Before I drift off to sleep, I took a glimpse of the bikes at the foot of our bed and those hanging from the ceiling, wondering if it is at all possible for one to overdose on cycling?

5:00 am………….the cycle begins again.

Hahaha!
