Last Monday was a national holiday. Since before the weekend I’ve been planning on getting my car from my friend’s repair shop in Q.C. which I was planning on getting by pedaling all the way from Cavite to his shop. My bike rack was left in the car since I pedaled home when I left my vehicle there.
In a nutshell I squeezed in 3 quick rides in 1 whole day. Summary of the ride below:
- 6:00 A.M. – Malipay trails with Rideable! then
- 8:00 A.M. – Malipay trails with Team Prima photoshoot, then
- 12:00 N.N. – Gran Trail Cycles in Alabang for rear derailleur tuning & rear wheel truing; mechanic broke 1 spoke, then
- 3:00 P.M. – Start my trip to Q.C., then
- 5:00 P.M. – Arrived at Inline Motors, my friend’s auto repair, body painting, & 4×4 modifications shop in Teacher’s Village, Q.C.
Tiring!

Quickie lang yun. 2 hours lang eh. Mas matagal pa if you ride the Sta. Rosa trails
Route ko was Alabang Hills then President's Ave. in Sucat, turn right at McDo Sucat towards SLEX, turn left on West Service Road, turn right at the Bicutan intersection towards FTI, follow the road towards C5, turn right at C5, go straight until the end, climb the road towards Katipunan, cross Katipunan intersection then turn right still in Katipunan (counterflow), turn left at the first corner in front of UCPB/Blue Ridge gate, turn right at the first corner – this is J.P. Rizal, go straight until Aurora Blvd., left at Aurora, right at Anonas, cross Kamias to Sikatuna, turn right at Maginhawa, go straight until you reach Inline Motors (the talyer; this first before Bayantel).
Yep. Exercise & fresh smog hahaha!
pwede pala bike sa C5?
Pwede na ngayon. Ganito kasi kasi nangyari: When I turned to enter C5 there were police at the corner. Then they tried to stop me, flagging me down. So what I did was I pedaled harder & faster. Then 2 of them got on their motorcycles & chased me. So I pedaled harder & faster, eventually leaving them behind eating my dust.
LOL!!!
Then at the next intersection there was another bunch of policemen, this time with police cars & lights flashing, waiting for me. So as not to cause more trouble I stopped. The cop who was leading them was glaring at me as I rolled to a stop right in front of him.
Me: Ano problema (What's the problem)?
Cop: Bawal bisikleta dito sa C5 (Bicycles are not allowed along C5)!
Me, raising my voice: Anong bawal (What do you mean not allowed)?
Cop, surprised but decided to raise his voice, too: Yan ang batas (That's the law)!
Me, now shouting: DI MO BA AKO KILALA (DON'T YOU KNOW WHO I AM)?!
Cop, shouting now, too: Hinde (NO)!
Me, extending my hand, & smiling: Ako nga pala si Francis (Let me introduce myself, I'm Francis).
LOL!!!
But seriously, pwede, at your own risk. To ride safely & defensively.
