I will be taking my SUV to the auto repair shop tomorrow which is in Quezon City. I am planning on bringing my bike so I can go to Mt. Maarat for a detour before going home, then bike all the way to Cavite.
Then I noticed something this afternoon when I glanced at my bike. The rear tire was flat. I inflated it and observed.
After dinner there was still air in the tire but I decided to just patch it up. I checked the insides of the tire and found a real small sharp something sticking out, which was causing the air leak.
Good thing I was home. I was able to submerge the inner tube in water and found the hole right away. So I proceeded to prepare my patch kit and I cleaned the area around the hole in preparation for the glue and patch. I found out I had 1 last patch left, and it was the biggest kind…
As I was squeezing the glue tube only air was coming out. I squeezed harder, but still trying to be careful so as not to squeeze out too many and make a mess…
But I still needed to squeeze… and squeeze… and squeeze… and squeeze… until the tube was flat! The glue has evaporated…
No choice but to either look for a vulcanizing shop tomorrow after leaving the car in the auto shop or find a bike shop to buy a new tube.
