Strike Ride for a Cause

The Strike Ride for A Cause is an event spearheaded by the Cavite mayor himself to promote a sporty and healthy lifestyle. Being a biker himself, Mayor Strike saw it as a good opportunity to support the biking community in and around the area. Aside from it being a late birthday celebration (his birthday is March 2), there will also be a fun run in the same location prior to the bike race.
There will be 5 categories, namely Sport [20 - 29], Executive [30 - 39], Masters [40 and up], Elite [Pro Division] and Female [Open]. Winners will receive cash prizes, medals, and other gifts from sponsors. As part of Mayor’s initiative to support the Social and Health Service, part of the proceeds of the event will be for theĀ Strike SPED School, Strike Halfway House, andĀ Persons With Disabilities [PWD] Organization.

Strike SPED School
The Strike SPED School, located in Mabolo I, Bacoor, caters to children with special needs. These children have been diagnosed with exceptionalities such as autism, mental retardation, etc., and cannot afford to go to inclusion schools to receive therapy. The Strike SPED School strives to help these children by giving them adequate intervention and modification techniques to help them cope with day-to-day life.

Strike Halfway House
The Strike Halfway House is a temporary shelter and aims to serve as a bridge to the disadvantaged women and children who are victims of abuse, child labor, abandoned/neglected children, and street children for their reintegration to their families and in the ailment of other services for their individual needs.

Persons with Disabilities Organization
The PWD Organization helps to equip PWD’s with proper mobility aids such as wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, and such to the physically handicapped or suffering from physical disabilities.

The Strike Ride for a Cause will be on March 5, 2011 at Molino Boulevard. On site registration will start at 7AM. See you guys there!
